Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in San Antonio, TX to deliver dependable, flexible hours at a financial institution. The role features fixed anchor shifts with optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform to boost earnings while maintaining balance. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Schedule is Daytime, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM. Requirements include at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and eligibility for background checks

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

As a Security Officer - Financial Flexible Patrol in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon08:45 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately; communicate relevant information to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
