Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for the Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, WI. Shift 2 runs 3pm-11pm with every-other-weekend rotation, on-site only, FTE 0.9.

The role focuses on protecting patients, staff and visitors, while responding rapidly to dispatch calls and maintaining a safe campus environment. Required are 1 year of security experience or equivalent, a high school diploma, and mandatory training in DAAT, NIMS IS-700 and IC S-100 within set

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of security experience or equivalent.
• DAAT training and NIMS IC-IS courses required within specified timelines.
• FTO program completion within 120 days; ability to obtain certification within 120 days.
• Must have a valid driver's license; BLS or equivalent within 3 months of hire.

• Respond to dispatch calls as a visible deterrent and assist with de-escalation.
• Investigate unusual circumstances and enforce security procedures.

Shift: Shift 2

Second shift, 3pm-11pm, every other weekend rotation.

Job Summary

Providing security in/around the hospital, facilities, campus, ancillary clinics and parking structures. Concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responding immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigating unusual circumstances, assisting with de-escalation, and security enforcement. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 year of security experience or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: None.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent required.

EDUCATION PREFERRED: None.

TRAINING REQUIRED: Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense and Arrest Techniques) course within previous three years or the ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire is required which includes de-escalation training. Must complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and the IC S- 100 courses within six months of hire. Must have FTO (Field Training Officer) program completed within 120 days. Training or academy may be site specific.

TRAINING PREFERRED: Familiar with CCTV systems and operation is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50Lbs occasionally. Push-Pull force generation up to 100Lbs occasionally. Occasional stair climbing. Frequent walking. Ability to get up and down from floor to standing independently.

SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED: None.

LICENSURE REQUIRED: Valid driver's license is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.
