Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Tablet Documentation Patrol in Camillus, NY. You will provide customer service, monitor premises, and document security activity while maintaining a visible presence on site.

The role offers a Part Time schedule and a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Training and growth opportunities are available within our national security team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and staff by following security procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and concerns using site protocols.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and access concerns, and report observations to appropriate site contacts and/or management.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
