Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor/contractor documentation.
• Monitor entry/exit points, maintain access logs, issue/collect visitor badges, report discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and facility perimeter to identify unusual activity.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate access logs, issue and collect visitor badges or access credentials, and report discrepancies to site leadership.
• Respond to access‑control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, designated areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
