Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking an Event Security Officer to provide a safe environment across property venues and deliver superior guest service. This on-call role supports events as posted, chosen by a first-come basis.

The position requires professionalism, report writing, and computer literacy with a preference for casino security experience. Applicants must be 21+, able to obtain required licenses, and pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Event Security Officer will provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members in a variety of different venues and locations on the property while delivering superior guest service at all times. This is an on-call position for working special events throughout the property. On call officers will be selected for events based on first come first serve bases as events are posted and the number of needed officers is determined.

• The Event Security Officer will respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and polite manner
• Anticipate guest needs
• The Event Security Officer will maintain all Ameristar Standards
• Greet all guests promptly with a friendly and upbeat attitude

• The Event Security Officer will Check identification of all possible underage guests

• Recognize potential intoxicated patrons proactively

• Must be able to write reports and have computer knowledge

• Must not have been convicted of any crime for which registration is required
• High school graduate or completion of GED certificate
• Previous casino security or law enforcement experience desired. (May be waived if all other requirements are met)
• Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
• Must successfully pass background check
• Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
• Must be 21 years of age
