Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles is seeking an Event Security Officer for on-call support during special events across the property. You will ensure a safe environment, deliver friendly guest service, perform crowd control, verify IDs, and enforce policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Background check required and drug/alcohol screening.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous casino security or law enforcement experience desired (may be waived).
• Possession of and ability to obtain a valid drivers and gaming license where employed.
• Able to work late hours and maintain professionalism.
• Cannot have conviction for crimes requiring registration.

Job Description

The Event Security Officer will provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members in a variety of different venues and locations on the property while delivering superior guest service at all times. This is an on-call position for working special events throughout the property. On call officers will be selected for events based on first come first serve bases as events are posted and the number of needed officers is determined.

• The Event Security Officer will respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and polite manner

• Previous casino security or law enforcement experience desired. (May be waived if all other requirements are met)
• Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
• Must successfully pass background check
• Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
• Must be 21 years of age
