Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Entry Screening in Lexington, KY to manage access, screen visitors and deliveries, and support a welcoming, professional environment.

You will monitor entry points, respond to incidents, complete logs, and uphold safety policies while maintaining a courteous, vigilant posture across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen incoming personnel and belongings using assigned equipment and established procedures; verify authorization and direct individuals to appropriate entry points or reception areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; report suspicious activity, prohibited items, and policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter; complete required activity logs and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
