Job summary

Allied Universal, a leader in security and facility services, is hiring a Security Officer Entry Screening in Denver, Colorado. You will serve clients in healthcare environments, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

This full-time role requires excellent customer service, professional communication, and the ability to respond calmly to emergencies.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of laboratory, office, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, documenting entries, incidents, and observations using required reporting tools.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain awareness of healthcare-related operational requirements, protect confidential information encountered during duties, and communicate professionally with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
