Qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Point Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a driving position. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entry, maintaining access records, and directing individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, assigned areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and visitor documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
