Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and other personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, authorizations, visitor documentation, and contractor requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate access-control systems, issue and recover visitor or contractor credentials, maintain entry records, and report access discrepancies or unauthorized-entry attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed by procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, perimeter locations, and restricted utility-related spaces; document observations and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
