Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Bland, VA to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service while coordinating with site leadership.

The role is full time with daytime evening shifts, pay rate $16.00 per hour, and requires compliance with background checks, drug screening, and licensing where applicable. Join a team driven by integrity and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.

• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; notify site contacts and responders as directed.
• Prepare clear activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs for site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
