Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and reporting.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Document patrol observations and incidents through accurate reports and communications with leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in Prince George, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a food and beverage location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist employees and visitors with professional customer service. Using strong communication and teamwork, you will help maintain an orderly environment while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, access concerns, and other security-related activities through accurate reports and communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
