Job summary

Allied Universal® in Richmond, VA is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced (Unarmed) to provide reliable security services at a technology, media, and telecommunications site. Fixed-shift anchor and a schedule that includes Sundays; earn $19.00 per hour with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

You will perform access control, patrols, incident response, maintain logs, and communicate with site contacts and leadership to uphold security standards.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate logs and completing required reports.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Richmond, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
