Qualifications

Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Newton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and supporting site protocols. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facilities, including verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel and vehicles to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production areas, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control observations accurately in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
