Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Rockaway, NJ to serve residents and safeguard communities. You will monitor access, verify authorized entry, greet guests, and maintain visitor records at a residential location.

This Part-Time role offers a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform and emphasizes customer service, professionalism, and reliable security operations while supporting a welcoming, secure environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access to the residential location by verifying authorization, greeting guests, and maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle entry records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, and emergency responders while documenting incidents and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:15 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
