Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Part Time Security Officer - Entry Authorization. You will manage entry points, verify access, greet residents and visitors, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment using tablet or computer systems.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in line with laws.
• Criminal history considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify entry for residents, guests, delivery personnel, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents and address security concerns with documentation and communication.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records as required.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas, parking, access points, and perimeter.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for residents, guests, delivery personnel, and/or contractors in accordance with community procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, package, and/or vehicle access records as required by site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
