Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Pittston, PA to provide access-control, customer service, and incident response at a distribution site. This role offers flexible, fixed shifts with an option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, delivery drivers, and associates by carrying out access-control procedures.
• Monitor and control access at entry/exit points, verify credentials, document activity, and direct authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain logs and reports for access activity, incidents, deliveries, and shift observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Credential Intake in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$19.50 / Hour

• Valid Driver's License:
• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license that complies with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123).
• Additionally, candidates must hold a valid driver's license specific to the job state in which they will be employed (C124).
• Access Control/Badge Experience:
• Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet:
• Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets (B204). This includes basic software applications, email communication, and the ability to navigate digital platforms relevant to their job functions.
• Customer Service Experience:
• Candidates are required to have prior customer service experience (B219). This experience should reflect the ability to interact positively with customers, resolve issues, and provide assistance in a professional manner.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, delivery drivers, and associates by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor and control access at designated entry and exit points, verifying credentials, documenting visitor and vendor activity, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for access activity, incidents, deliveries, and shift observations, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
