The position pays $18.03 per hour and supports a schedule with Friday evenings. A six-month anchor shift commitment is required, with earnings potential growing through the Earn More program.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Desk in Northampton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
