Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Readiness in Bedford Park, IL. The position offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The schedule includes daytime shifts on Saturdays from 06:00 AM to 02:00 PM, with opportunities to grow into full-time work over time.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, vehicle movement, and restricted areas, communicating potential concerns promptly to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (”Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
