Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and contractors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; document observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, access points, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor property access by verifying authorization and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and emergency responders; complete shift reports and documentation.

Pay Rate: $21.14 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AMWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying authorization, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting access‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and emergency responders, while completing required reports and shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
