Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at the site by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and personnel activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report observations to leadership.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate security observations and concerns to site management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Melbourne, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.58 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, aircraft‑related areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and personnel activity as required.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.


• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.


• Access control/badge experience is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
