• Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation coordination and contacting first responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including communicating with tenants and visitors, supporting evacuation procedures, and coordinating with first responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
