Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a corporate technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observations and incidents.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Response in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a corporate technology location by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security‑related observations, policy concerns, and incidents.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
