Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Compliance in SAN JOSE, CA. Qualifications

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to museum visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public spaces, entrances, administrative areas, and the building perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or facility concerns.
• Monitor visitor flow and observe museum spaces to help protect artwork, exhibits, and property while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security‑related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
