Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving roles only.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Awareness in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entrances, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.


• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site‑specific procedures.


• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, Allied Universal management, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
