Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Chicago, IL to provide reliable, scheduled hours at a designated site with the option to earn more by picking up extra shifts. Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology campus environment.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and/or unusual conditions.
• Communicate clearly with site contacts, allied personnel, and emergency responders while supporting a professional and welcoming workplace environment.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Alarm Response in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM / Fri 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
