You will protect people and property at a technology site, perform access control, patrol duties, and write clear incident reports. The position requires 2+ years security experience and a valid license where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and other assigned areas; verify credentials and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned locations to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Deployment in Sunnyvale, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
