Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time TWIC Perimeter Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL. The role offers reliable, fixed hours at a designated site with the chance to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $17.06 per hour. This part-time position includes a six-month anchor shift commitment, and opportunities to grow toward a fuller schedule across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to visitors and personnel while following site policies and security procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and direct visitors in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and notify site contacts and emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of port facilities and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations and patrol activity and report to supervisors.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and maritime personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, and direct visitors and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, perimeter areas, gates, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
