Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced, Part Time, at a Houston site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with options to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, supporting your income goals and career growth within a leading security company.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour with a Wednesday night 11:00 PM–07:00 AM schedule. Applicants will undergo background checks and licensing requirements may apply per state laws; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, building perimeters, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, property damage, and maintenance concerns, and report observations through established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while helping to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Tablet Patrol Reporting in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
