Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening Patrol in Barrington, NJ. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

The position pays $17.92 per hour and the schedule includes DayTime shifts. Candidates should have at least one year in security and a high school diploma, with licenses preferred for certain sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to identify hazards and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify site contacts or emergency responders.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence to deter unauthorized access, theft, trespassing, and other security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening Patrol in Barrington, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun01:00 AM - 09:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence at the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft, trespassing, and/or other security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
