Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Enhanced Security Officer in De Soto, KS to provide dependable, flexible security coverage at an assigned site. You will work a fixed anchor shift and may supplement hours through the Earn-A-Shift program to increase earnings while gaining diverse site experience.

The role supports a schedule with shifts on Saturdays and has opportunities to scale to more than 40 hours per week if needed, with pay at $22.28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications site by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to maintain orderly entry and exit for authorized personnel and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and escalate as directed.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Routine Patrol in De Soto, KS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat - 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit processes for authorized personnel and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating observations and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
