As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Operations in Malvern, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Age Requirement

Educational Qualifications

• Candidates are required to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. (C137)

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk in a professional manner, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Monitor entry activity, receive and route calls, coordinate with appropriate personnel regarding visitor arrivals, deliveries, and access requests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and promptly communicate security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of front-desk operations and report unusual activity, policy violations, or facility concerns to the appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
