Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced at our Atlanta, GA site to provide a reliable, customer-focused front desk presence. Qualifications

• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree, 60 college credits, police academy/corrections academy certificate.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks per federal/state/local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, customer-focused front desk presence at the entrance of a financial institution.
• Verify visitor credentials, manage sign-in and badge processes, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests to contacts or locations.
• Monitor entry activity and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, problem-solving actions and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
• Assist with security-related administrative duties, including answering phones and maintaining records.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Checkpoint in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a professional, customer-focused presence at the front desk of a financial institution, greeting employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific access procedures.
• Verify visitor credentials, manage sign-in and badge processes, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests to appropriate contacts or locations.
• Monitor entry activity and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behavior, or other security-related concerns according to site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Support security-related administrative duties, including answering phones, maintaining required records, and communicating clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, and/or military experience.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, and/or a corrections academy certificate.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
