Allied Universal seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Janesville, WI. You will work fixed anchor shifts at a site with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, earning $19.00 per hour with the potential to scale up to 40 hours per week.

As part of the role, you will monitor access, patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and deliver customer service to employees and contractors.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Position in Janesville, WI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Support facility operations by maintaining awareness of deliveries, vehicle traffic, and restricted areas while following Allied Universal and client site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
