Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, office areas, parking facilities, loading zones, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity and facility issues.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials per site-specific procedures; direct authorized individuals to locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify site contacts and emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence at a dynamic location.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Screening in Tallahassee, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.73 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, office areas, parking facilities, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site‑specific procedures; direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence at a dynamic technology and media location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
