Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and prepare accurate incident reports as required.
• Maintain awareness of manufacturing operations and changing site conditions, reporting hazards and policy violations to leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in Weslaco, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $12.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare accurate incident reports as required.
• Maintain awareness of manufacturing operations and changing site conditions, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, damaged property, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
