Qualifications

• Background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and other security concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following site procedures.
• Assist with access control and maintaining a professional presence to deter theft.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Compliance in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor for and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and other security‑related concerns to appropriate store contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific procedures.
• Assist with access control, customer directions, and maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter theft and unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
