Allied Universal in Coppell, TX is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Readiness to provide dependable security services with flexible, anchored shifts at an automotive site.

Pay rate is $23.70 per hour. The role offers fixed shifts with optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform, and a path to up to 40 hours per week. A six-month anchor commitment applies.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisory/management experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures at an automotive location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of vehicle lots, service areas, showrooms, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; document arrivals/departures and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm problem-solving and notify site contacts or emergency services.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of vehicle lots, service areas, showrooms, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, follow site procedures for documenting arrivals and departures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with employees, customers, vendors, and law enforcement personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security‑related supervisory or management experience, or three years of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
