Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Mobile Patrol in Carleton, MI. The role offers fixed shifts with an option to pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform, and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and document observations and incidents.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic corporate environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Mobile Patrol in Carleton, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic corporate environment where working conditions and assigned patrol areas may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
