Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Patrol Driver in Somers Point, NJ. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform, potentially working across multiple sites.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour, with a schedule that includes daytime hours. The position includes customer service in healthcare settings, regular patrols, and incident response as part of supporting hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors within a healthcare setting.
• Follow site policies and procedures, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain professional presence and effective communication during guard duties.
• Demonstrate reliable, flexible availability for part‑time shifts and fixed anchor shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and/or wayfinding while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, hospital personnel, and/or emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Patrol Driver in Somers Point, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
