Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Orlando, FL. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, helping you increase earnings while maintaining a base schedule.

Pay rate is $15.00 per hour with duties including visitor management, patrols, access control, incident response, and thorough documentation. Requires a high school diploma and background checks; licensure and driver’s license may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, members and guests per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols and report security concerns.
• Monitor access, greet visitors, and maintain a orderly environment during events.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify emergency responders as needed.
• Complete logs, incident reports, and communicate with site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Computer Operator in Orlando, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 03:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, members, and guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a faith-based cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential security-related issues.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, and help maintain an orderly environment during services, events, educational programs, and other gatherings.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
