Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Emergency Support in Orlando, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$20.81 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and transit personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned transportation locations; report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken, while maintaining a professional presence in a public‑facing government transportation environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
