Allied Universal in Richmond, VA seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Communications to provide reliable security services at a technology, media, and telecommunications site. The role offers fixed shifts with an option to pick up additional shifts, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on experience.

You will ensure safety, assist employees, and follow site procedures. Minimum requirements include being 18+, high school diploma or equivalent, and background/drug screen checks;

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, loading locations, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and elevate matters.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate professionally with site contacts and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Communications in Richmond, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, loading locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access‑control concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and elevate matters according to established procedures.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate professionally with site contacts and emergency responders, and support a professional environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
