Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced for part-time work at a Lexington, KY site. This role offers reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and optional additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service to campus community, perform patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain incident reports, with eligibility for benefits and training opportunities. This position begins with a six-month commitment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Lexington, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Mon 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, access‑control issues, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
