Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Harvey, IL. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the possibility to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings, designed for flexibility for part-time workers.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• State/local security license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures; and document observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed, while maintaining awareness of changing conditions throughout the location.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Harvey, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.74/Hr

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
