Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Memphis, TN. This flexible, customer‑focused role provides reliable morning coverage with a fixed shift and opportunities to earn more by taking additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will guard a technology, media, and telecommunications site, perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and file clear reports.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Employment may require background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Morning Patrol in Memphis, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
