Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Security in Grand Rapids, MI. This role offers reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You’ll provide customer service at the front desk, screen visitors, monitor access, respond to incidents, and help maintain a welcoming environment. Pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors at the front desk as per site procedures.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification, issue visitor credentials and maintain logs.
• Monitor access to the facility entrance and reception area and report suspicious activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Security in Grand Rapids, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, visitor management protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors at the front desk, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with healthcare location policies.
• Monitor access to the facility entrance and reception area, observe activity through available systems, and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate with site contacts and first responders as directed.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general assistance, maintain a professional front‑desk presence, and help support a welcoming healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
