Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.

• Hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions and reporting of unusual conditions.
• Document incidents and concerns per site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Securityin Chattanooga, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, access procedures, and reporting of unusual conditions.
• Document incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
