Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hazard Identification Patrol in Shepherdsville, KY. Pay rate is $17.63 per hour. Responsibilities include unarmed patrols, access control, incident response, and accurate reporting, with a six-month anchor shift

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, loading zones, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization according to site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, loading zones, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization in accordance with site‑specific access‑control procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns to appropriate personnel.


• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site‑specific policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
