• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel following site policies.
• Monitor front desk access, greet visitors, verify IDs, and maintain records.
• Issue and collect visitor credentials and communicate access concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk - DoD Clearance Required in Carlsbad, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$25.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Wed

Time 09:30 PM - 05:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and manage front desk access, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site requirements.
• Issue and collect visitor credentials, provide directions and assistance, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Support a professional, controlled‑access environment at an aerospace and defense location while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
